What is NAET ?
Nambudripad's Allergy Elimination Techniques, also known as NAET,
Is a non-invasive, drug free, natural solution to eliminate allergies of all types and sensitivities using a blend of selective energy balancing, testing and treatment procedures from acupuncture/acupressure, allopathy, chiropractic, nutritional, and kinesiological disciplines of medicine.
It is a natural, drugless, painless, non-invasive method that can be used safely from a one-day-old infant to anyone of advanced age, on a healthy person to treat hidden allergies that could cause diseases in the future or on patients in real suffering, invalids or patients in a coma, to permanently eliminate allergies and symptoms arising from previous exposure to allergens and their allergic manifestations.
Even though allergies are still not very well understood compared to some other medical conditions, there is an increasing number of practitioners, both in orthodox and complementary medicine, who believe they may be
a missing link in many health problems.
NAET can successfully eliminate adverse reactions to egg, milk, peanuts, penicillin, aspirin, mushrooms, shellfish, latex, grass, ragweed, flowers, perfume, animal dander, animal epithelial, make-up, chemicals, cigarette smoke, pathogens, heat, cold, other environmental agents.
One allergen is treated at a time. If you are not severely immune deficient, you may need just one treatment to desensitize one allergen. A person with mild to moderate amount of allergies may take about 15-20 office visits to desensitize 15-20 food and environmental allergens.
Basic essential nutrients are treated during the first few visits. Chemicals, environmental allergens, vaccinations, immunizations, etc. are treated after completing about ten basic essential nutrients.
It may take several office visits to desensitize a severe allergen.The total length of the treatment program varies greatly from one individual to another, depending upon the number of specific allergies, and the overall intensity of the allergic condition. It may take anywhere from 10 to 40 visits, depending on your condition, to note significant results. For best results, usually just one allergen (or one group of closely related allergens) should be identified and treated per visit.
80-90% of the patients treated thus far by NAET have experienced complete relief from their allergic symptoms to the items for which they have been treated. Most of them report that contact with previously troublesome foods or environmental substances no longer cause adverse effects.
NAET was discovered by Dr. Devi S. Nambudripad in November of 1983.
What are allergies?"
Medical scientists are still researching to find the exact cause and nature of allergies, but may not have all the answers for years to come. From a Western medical point of view, allergy is an over-reaction by the immune system.
In NAET, allergies are viewed from a wholistic perspective, based on Oriental Medical principles. An allergy is a condition of unusual sensitivity
of one person to one or more substances which may be harmless to the majority of other individuals.
In the allergic person, the allergic substance, known as an allergen, is viewed by the brain as a threat to the body's well-being.
Dr Devi Nambudripad's simple definition of an allergy is as follows: An allergy is an adverse physical, physiological, and/or psychological response of an individual towards one or more substances also known as allergens. However, these substances may be harmless, well tolerated or even useful for most people.
Dr Nambudripad's approach is the same for full-blown allergies involving the release of immunoglobulin type E (IgE-mediated reactions) in the body, and for intolerances, sensitivities and hypersensitivities (non-IgE mediated reactions). Her technique diagnoses and treats them all in the same way.
Therefore, for our purposes, an allergy is defined in terms of what a substance does to the energy flow in the body. When contact is made with an allergen, it causes blockages in the energy pathways called meridians, or we can say, it disrupts the normal flow of energy through the body's electrical circuits. This energy blockage causes interference in communication between the brain and body via the nervous system. This blocked energy flow is the first step in a chain of events which can develop into an allergic response. Allergies are the result of energy imbalances in the body, leading to a diminished state of health in one or more organ system.

- I have been suffering from a serious blood disorder for many years, which has recently started to transform into Acute Myeloid Leukaemia.
I was offered the chance of a mini transplant (or transplant-lite) for Bone Marrow. The preconditioning for this transplant, as in most cancers was a high dose of strong chemotherapy drugs.
The side effects of these drugs can be debilitating, including considerable weight loss, nausea, vomiting, and in the case of one particular drug, rigors and shivering. Although I knew that this treatment could be potentially life saving, the thought of the side effects caused me considerable distress.
Luckily for me, I had had recently come across an article about NAET - Nambudripad's Allergy Elimination Techniques, and on contacting my local practitioner that this also included the possibility of treatment for the side effects of conventional medication.
On my first visit the practitioner took a detailed medical history from me, and ascertained through muscle testing what treatment I would need. In subsequent visits I was treated for certain basic allergies followed by the specific medications, and also certain bacteria and viruses from which I would be particularly at risk following the transplant.
When I eventually received my Bone Marrow Transplant, I had no side effects from any of the medication treated and nor have I suffered infection of any kind. And although I lost my hair it began to regrow very quickly.
I left hospital after two weeks when the average time spent in hospital is 4 to 6 weeks. Staff at the hospital were very surprised as I was only the third person not to have a reaction from Campath, and the only person ever not to react to Melphalan.
I felt compelled to write and let people know that they no longer have to suffer the horrendous side effects of chemotherapy used in cancer treatment, and that whilst all the other patients in the hospital were struggling to cope with the debilitating side effects, my body was allowed to concentrate on recovering from the transplant.

- I came to Dr. Devi through a friend in 1985. I suffered from asthma since childhood. During the last 7 years I developed severe sinusitis. I was on antibiotics at least 20 days of a month. - I had a chronic pain on the right side of my neck and the pain was radiating into my right arm almost all the time ever since I can remember (maybe since I was seven or eight years old). Now I am 75 years old. I was also very obese with an enlarged liver even though I was a strict vegetarian all my life and never even touched alcohol. I had high cholesterol and my triglyceride level was 900mgms.

- My grandson was born with an irregular heartbeat and was back at the hospital within the first ten days of his life with a racing heartbeat. Since I had been coming to Dr. Devi for about a year, I suggested to my daughter that we take him to see her. After arriving, Dr. Devi found he was reacting to his mother's milk. - I was diagnosed by medical doctors in Washington State with M.S. in 1991. This condition has gotten progressively worse so that, through the years, my walking, speech, and thinking have deteriorated to the point that I had lost hope in ever believing that this condition would get any better or stop progressing.
I came down from Washington to Southern California to be treated by Dr. Devi. I have now had 12 treatments by Dr. Devi during the past three and one-half weeks and have noticed significant improvements in my walking, speech, and thinking.
N.A.E.T. treatments are pain-free, require no drugs, and have allowed me to keep true to my ethics of vegetarianism. As I stated above, the improvements in my walking have been great as I can now walk a longer distance without aid. Before these treatments my speech was weak and slurred. When I began my allergy treatments with Dr. Devi, I could not get through a meal without a dripping, full nose, sometimes with difficulty in breathing, clearing my throat, sneezing, swelling around the eyes, pains in my chest, joints, lower back, feet, and knees. I had been diagnosed as anemic, arthritic, inclined to hypochondria. I felt extremely tense, and yet by three o'clock in the afternoon, I could not stay awake, and needed a 15-minute nap to make it through the rest of the day. I had trouble climbing stairs due to weakness in my legs. The joints in my left hand caused me pain and Dr. Devi found out that I was allergic to the
diamonds in my wedding band. When I drove more than half an hour I suffered from excruciating pain in my right leg and we found an allergy to the formic acid used in hard rubber products such as the gas pedal.
These treatments have totally changed my life. I am now a functioning energy-charged, healthy being, much to my delight. Now when necessary, Dr. Devi and I are able to trace any new ache or pain to a sensitivity to a material in our atmosphere or a food item, and eliminate it. I am also treating for those "dormant allergies", but capable of creating possible future problems such as different diseases. I expect to expand my life-style by these treatments as well as live each day to its fullest in the optimum of health and well being.
